   About the author

Jacqueline White-Ivey had humble beginnings in Louisiana as a preacher’s daughter, the second of four children.  With the benefit of a Pell grant, she was able to attend college and obtain an associate degree in occupational therapy.  She worked as a healthcare provider for over 26 years before retiring.  She founded Mameo Publishing, LLC in 2020 to share her story, in hopes it may help bring change and increase access to mental healthcare.  She discovered a passion for art as she was healing from the trauma of her circumstances.  Today she is the owner of Art by Jacqueline White-Ivey, LLC.  She is the mother of four children and three grandchildren on Earth, two heavenly grandbabies and one fur baby, Rosie.  She hopes her passion for art will increase opportunities that allow open dialogue for improving access to mental healthcare for all, regardless of ability to pay.
